Prenuptial Agreements: Should you be upset?

A prenuptial agreement is a legal document that outlines which belongings including investments, business assets, or family inheritances (to name a few) go to whom if the marriage fails.  Basically saying if the marriage fails, what you owned before the marriage to returned to you. Nobody likes to think of their marriage falling apart, but sometimes it does.  Having a prenuptial agreement in place may help you protect your personal possessions.  These agreements are more popular then you can imagine.  Perhaps its because couples are getting married later in life and with that in mind have more personal belongings and investments that they may want protected.  Some individuals are totally against prenups, others think of it as a safeguard to cover all possibilities.  What do you think?
